Family Involvement at T'siya Day School

T’Siya Day School welcomes all parents/guardians and family members to be active participants in our school community. Students thrive when they have the continued support and active involvement of their familial and community resources outside of the classroom. We offer a variety of opportunities for family involvement and cooperation within our learning environment.

Family involvement is an essential asset for T'siya Day School students. Faculty, staff, specialists and administrators are readily available to facilitate and improve the school-student-parent relationship. From early childhood through adolescence, family involvement provides students and families with the knowledge, experience, and necessary guidance to successfully complete the student’s educational journey.

The academic success of any T'siya Day School student will be the result of a strong family/community support system. Our collaborative services, such as Parent-Teacher meetings, FACE program, and various community events are examples of our commitment to family involvement. When students can rely on resources inside and outside the classroom, they tend to fulfill their needs and accomplish their goals.

To prepare and empower the future leaders of the Zia Pueblo community, family involvement must remain an integral part of our educational program. Parents and community members are a student’s first teachers, and this teaching support should continue as students progress to higher levels of academic achievement. Students and teachers look toward parents/guardians, family, and community members for academic support.
